How to Delete a Page in Microsoft Word

If you’re wanting to delete a page including text, graphics, or other material in a Microsoft Word file, or if you’re wishing to eliminate that blank white page at the end of your report that will not appear to go away, here’s how.

Erasing a Page in Word

The absolutely quickest method to get rid of a material page in Word is to select the content on that page and press the Backspace secret (Delete on Mac). If you don’t wish to manually click and highlight the page’s text, you can utilize the built-in Find and Replace tool.

The very first thing you’ll want to do is tap anywhere on the page that you want to delete. You can see the page variety of the page you’re on by searching in the bottom-left corner of the window.

Next, press Ctrl + G on Windows, or Option + Command + G on Mac. You’ll now be in the “Go To” tab of the “Find & Replace” window. Now, type page in the “Enter Page Number” text box. Select “Go To.”

All of the content on your current page will be chosen. All that’s delegated do now is press the Backspace secret (or Delete on Mac).

Delete the Blank Page at the End of Word

If you’ve ever questioned why there’s a blank page at the end of your Word file that won’t disappear, that’s because the word processor consists of an end paragraph that can’t be erased. This sometimes causes a blank page to appear at the end of a document, depending on where the last line of your content ended.

Because this ending paragraph can’t be deleted, the only method to actually remove the blank page at the end is to offer it a 1pt font size.

The very first thing you’ll want to do is show the paragraph marks on your Word doc. To do this, press Ctrl + Shift +8 (Command + 8 on Mac).

Now, select the paragraph mark. You can’t do this by clicking and dragging your cursor over it. To choose it, put your cursor on the icon and offer it a double click.

The format window will appear. In the “Font Size” box, type “01” and push the Enter key.

With this resized, the blank page at the end will now be eliminated. You can also safely eliminate paragraph marks now by pushing Ctrl + Shift + 8 (Command + 8 on Mac).
