How to Disable RSS Feeds From Updating Automatically in Outlook 2013

By default, RSS feeds upgrade automatically. If you have a great deal of RSS feeds you follow, you might not want them all updating instantly. You can set up the RSS feeds so none of them update instantly, or certain ones will.

To choose which RSS feeds upgrade immediately, if any kind of, click the File tab.

Click Options in the food selection on the left side of the Account Information display.

On the Outlook Options dialog box, click Advanced in the left pane listing of food selection alternatives.

In the best pane, scroll to the Send as well as obtain section and also click the Send/Receive button.

On the Send/Receive Groups dialog box, click Edit next to the listing of groups.

KEEP IN MIND: If you have greater than one account in Outlook, choose the account in the checklist of groups for which you intend to disable the automatic update of RSS feeds.

On the Send/Receive Settings dialog box, click RSS in the listing of Accounts on the left.

If you do not want any of your RSS feeds to upgrade automatically, select the Include RSS Feeds in this Send/Receive team check box so there is NO check mark in package.

If you only intend to protect against particular RSS feeds from upgrading immediately, leave the Include RSS Feeds in this Send/Receive group check box picked (a check mark in package) and de-select details RSS feeds in the Feeds listing at the bottom of the dialog box. Click OK to accept your adjustments as well as shut the dialog box.

Click Close on the Send/Receive Groups dialog box.

Click OK to shut the Outlook Options dialog box.

If you have a lot of RSS feeds, preventing some from updating immediately can accelerate the Send/Receive procedure. If you produce a Send/Receive group for RSS feeds, you can conveniently upgrade your RSS feeds manually at any moment.

You can also select to view only today’s RSS feeds using a customized search folder. This will certainly help keep your feeds manageable if you prefer to have all your feeds upgraded automatically.
