By default, in Word, when you select text and then kind anything, the selected text is replaced with what you kind. This can be discouraging if you’ve highlighted some message and then inadvertently pushed a secret and also lost your work.

There is a setting for this actions in Word that is on by default. To shut off this setting and also avoid replacing picked message with what you type, click the “File” tab.

Click “Options” on the left side of the “Info” display.

On the “Word Options” dialog box, click “Advanced” in the left pane.

In the “Editing choices” area, at the top of the appropriate pane, choose the “Typing replaces chosen message” check box so there is no check mark in package.

Click “ALRIGHT” to accept your modification and also close the “Word Options” dialog box.

Currently, when you kind while some message is picked, the newly entered text is inserted before the chosen text.
