Quick Tip: Darken the Outlook List Grouping Headers

One of the better attributes of Outlook 2007 is the method it nicely groups your messages by day or other criteria, yet it’s not always easy to see at a glance. There’s an obscure choice hidden in the settings that will color the team headings to make them more simple to identify.

Here’s the default sight, see exactly how your eyes just brush right over the “Yesterday” without really discovering it.

To change this setting, go to View Current View Customize Current View and afterwards click the “Other Settings” switch.

In this dialog you’ll discover the “Shade team headings” option, which you’ll require to examine. Note that this is a global setup across all sights, not simply the existing one.

The modification needs to be instantaneous, you will certainly now see the dark team headings.

I locate this much simpler to work with than the default setup, although it’s not fairly as “quite”.

Keep in mind: For Outlook 2003, you’ll require to use View > > Arrange By > > Current View > > Customize View: Messages. Many thanks Jon!
